Horses for Sale

When considering buying an American Saddlebred Show Horse, Cash Lovell’s expertise is unparalleled. In the last 10 years alone, Cash has chosen, trained and helped his riders learn to show more than 30 World Champions. Cash is a third-generation horseman who’s worked with scores of World and National champions throughout recent decades.

And while winning isn’t the most important goal, choosing a Show Horse requires a level of expertise and a “eye” for a horse.  Cash, a United States Equestrian Federation judge of the highest ranking, is known nationally and internationally for his ability to pick and produce Champions.

Parker and Cash welcome the opportunity to help families who are considering purchasing or leasing a show horse learn about this incredible sport.

On this page are some of the American Saddlebred Show Horses currently offered for sale at Cash Lovell Stables. Whether you’re seriously shopping for a horse, or dreaming for the future, please enjoy these grand horses, who’ve been expertly trained and shown by CLS.  We would love the opportunity to show them to you in person. A friend of Parker sent her this wonderful poem and said, "I have often seen sweet, touching poems about horses, but I recently found this one online, and it is by far my favorite, because it really communicates what precious gifts horses give us as riders, caretakers, and best friends. I have never seen anything like it, and I wish I knew the author!! Enjoy!
We all loved it and thought someone shopping for a Show Horse might appreciate this, too.

"Just a Horse”
(Author Unknown)

From time to time, people tell me,
“Lighten up, it’s just a horse,” or,
“That’s a lot of money for just a horse.”

They don’t understand the distance traveled,
The time spent, or the cost involved for “just a horse.”
Some of my proudest moments have come about with “just a horse.”

Many hours have passed and my only companion was “just a horse,”
but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by “just a horse,”
and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of “just a horse”
gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.

(If you too, think it’s “just a horse,”
then you will probably understand phrases like,
“just a friend,” and “just a sunrise,” or “just a promise.”)

“Just a horse” brings into my life the very essence of
friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.
“Just a horse” brings out the compassion and patience
that makes me a better person.
Because of “just a horse,” I will rise early, take long walks,
and look longingly into the future.

So for me and folks like me, it’s not “just a horse,”
but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of
the fond memories of the past,
and the pure joy of the moment.

“Just a horse” brings out what’s good in me and diverts my thoughts
away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that
it’s not “just a horse”
but the thing that gives me humanity
and keeps me from being “just a man or woman.”

So the next time you hear the phrase, “just a horse,”
Just smile,
Because they “just” don’t understand.
