Meet our Instructors: Jeanine Lovell
Jeanine is a national-champion producing riding instructor with more than 30 years of teaching experience.  She is a member of the United Professional Horseman’s Association and the United States Equestrian Federation.  She started showing Saddlebreds and Hackney ponies at the age of 10 and still enjoys participating in horse shows today. 

In addition to being a popular instructor at CLS, Jeanine is a beloved teacher with the Winston Salem Forsyth County school system.  She has been named Teacher of the Year twice (once at Ashley Middle School and once at Northwest Middle School). She also holds the highest accreditation that a teacher can hold from the N.C. Department of Public Instruction -- the National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Language Arts.  Jeanine earned her undergraduate degree at Appalachian and her Masters Degree at UNCG.

Jeanine is married to Tommy Lovell, who is an internationally renowned equine artist. They have three daughters, Simone, Nicolette and Candace, all of whom are accomplished horsewomen in their own rights.  Jeanine lives on her family farm in Rural Hall, N.C.
